Parenting classes that are offered at Kids Restart are evidence based and structured to meet the unique needs of the families that we serve. We recognize that all families are not the same and have different issues which is why we focus on age appropriate and circumstantial parenting classes. We also understand how difficult it is to redirect misbehavior when our kids make us question our abilities. This too is addressed in parenting.

Brain development and behavior
Learning how to gain cooperation and communication between parents and their children
How to have effective, non-violent discipline methods
Learning to recognize behavioral patters of feelings and empathy.
How to teach your child problem-solving techniques
Building courage and self-esteem in your child
Understanding and redirecting misbehavior
How to be an active parent in your child's school
For some parents we also address how substance abuse and domestic violence affects our parenting abilities.
Some classes can take up to 10 sessions to complete the program. Upon completion, we provide a parenting certificate and will provide you with additional supplemental information as needed.
